According to the teachings of traditional Chinese medicine, the five change phases of the LIVER, HEART, SPLEEN/PANCREAS, LUNG and KIDNEY organ circulation systems are assigned to the five elements WOOD, FIRE, EARTH, METAL and WATER, with reference to the eight primary diagnostic criteria.
Traditional Chinese medicine comprises, among other things, the doctrine of acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, Chinese dietetics, the tuina massage and qui gong.
