Background and training
Born in Leipzig, Dr. Stahl completed seven years of specialist training in neurology and psychiatry at Ochsenzoll and St. Georg hospitals in Hamburg. She
received her doctorate from the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE) in 1988.
In her neurological work she met many patients whose findings were unremarkable, yet who continued to feel unwell. This led her to four years of
training in psychodynamic psychotherapy at the Department of Psychosomatic Medicine at UKE. A qualification in naturopathic medicine from the
Hamburg Medical Association followed.
Her naturopathic training introduced her to Traditional Chinese Medicine. In 1991 she joined the Societas Medicinae Sinensis (International Society for
Chinese Medicine) and began a comprehensive TCM education, completed with a final examination in 1997. In 2008 she completed the joint
postgraduate programme of the Societas Medicinae Sinensis and Witten/Herdecke University as a Certified Physician of Chinese Medicine (CPC). In 2019
the Technical University of Munich awarded her a Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Her training abroad includes an extended study visit on headache disorders with Professor Spierings in Boston and a study visit to China for TCM and
acupuncture.

An integrative approach
Dr. Stahl looks at both: the findings and how a patient actually
feels. Her practice logo, a triangle of body, mind and soul, stands
for this view.
Thorough diagnostics come first. When all findings are
unremarkable and symptoms persist, she looks further.
Treatment rests on three foundations:
Conventional diagnostics · Psychological assessment · TCM diagnosis
Clinical focus
Neurology
Diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the
central and peripheral nervous system. These
include headache and migraine, nerve
compression syndromes such as carpal tunnel
syndrome, polyneuropathy, dizziness,
Parkinson’s disease, dementia and multiple
sclerosis. Neurophysiological measurements are
carried out in the practice.
Psychiatry
Depression and anxiety disorders, sleep
disorders, psychosomatic disorders,
stress-related exhaustion, addiction and
dementia. Treatment combines psychiatric and
psychosomatic consultations, medication where
indicated and complementary methods.
Traditional Chinese Medicine
Acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and
Chinese dietetics. TCM is used alongside
conventional medicine and always follows a
thorough diagnostic workup.
